Clips and tracks can have separate modes operating simultaneously. Here's a great example of the advantage that offers - Tracks are set to "Order" for a more organized look and Clips are set to "Match" to automatically adopt their track's color. Note that coloring all Clips at once is exclusive to Live 11.
